Mark Spelts

Founder and CEO

Mark Spelts is a seasoned financial advisor and the visionary founder of Spelts Wealth Management. Raised in Nebraska, Mark developed a strong work ethic and a commitment to integrity.

After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Mark served honorably as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. His finance career began at Continental Bank & Trust Company in Chicago, where he held various management roles.

Later, Mark joined his family's legacy as a fourth-generation lumberman, co-owning and managing Spelts Lumber & Home Center in Kearney, Nebraska. Following the sale of the lumber company, he moved to California to establish a financial office for Edward Jones and subsequently opened the first Merrill Lynch office in Chico, CA.

Recognizing the inherent conflicts of interest within large financial firms, Mark founded Spelts Wealth Management in 2002. Today Spelts Wealth Management offers truly independent, client-centric financial guidance. Mark's approach prioritizes unbiased investment recommendations, objective advice, and conflict-free tactical and strategic planning.

When not advising clients, Mark enjoys flying (Mark has held a private pilot’s license since 1976), golfing, and spending time with his family.
